This just means that is vehicle is controlled by a controller that is not attached to the vehicle via a cable or cord and that only humans can operate the vehicle.
So, for you this means you get to operate the vehicle to what you want it to do. In the case of remote controlled heavy vehicles ie. dump truck, excavator, bulldozer or crane you get to use these toys as if you were using them on a real life vehicle. Meaning lots of fun for kids of all ages.
